Our Graphic Design Process

Our comprehensive graphic design strategy ensures a perfectly crafted website for your business.

Exploration

The first step in the creative graphic design process is the creative brief. It helps the designer learn more about the needs of the client. This step is critical since the designer needs to gather as much information as possible about the client, his or her company, and his or her project expectations.

The goal of the research step is to learn more about the client’s competitors. Rivals’ designs can be good sources of inspiration. We shouldn’t copy them, but analyze what works, what doesn’t work, and how we can make improvements. Ultimately, we want to be different but learn about the common tones and styles.

Sketches

Once we have a good understanding of our client and his or her competitors, it’s time to generate design ideas. We can use a pen and paper to map out the purpose of the design.

What emotions and thoughts should we use as design triggers? What’s the message of the design? Of course, brainstorming means that we’re coming up with a lot of ideas. But keep our main focus in mind while shooting out designs.

Now it’s time to build on prioritized ideas and start sketching. Often, we still won’t use a computer for our sketches. And we definitely don’t need to sketch online.

Digitization

The digitalization of graphic design is a comparatively new field of research, a progressive process that evolves with technological developments. Undoubtedly, the evolution of design practices has transformed the entire design process in ways not deemed possible in the past. The advantages of digitalization are particularly tangible in the range of possibilities generated by computer-based design tools.

After we’ve shared our best sketches with our client, he or she will provide us with initial feedback. Now we can (finally!) start working on the final designs. At this stage, it will be important to come up with different variations of designs.

That way, we’ll allow the clients to choose between existing designs. To build these designs, we’ll probably need a lot of different graphic resources;  we shouldn’t create everything from scratch.

Color

Colors are a vital factor for not only the visual appearance of products but also brand recognition. We describe the meanings of common colors in branding and here is a short sum up.

Final Graphic

In the final Deployment phase of the graphic design process the goal is to refine the final concepts in order to deliver the final product of the project.

If all goes well, the client will choose one of the final designs presented and we can go ahead and finalize it for production and or publishing if required. It’s a good idea to discuss the final versions with the client and allow them to refine any elements with which they’re unsatisfied. Rinse and repeat this process until both we and the client are confident that the final product is exactly what’s required. Once agreed upon, prepare, package, and deliver the final version to the client.
